The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting equipment reliability and operational efficiency through the timely completion of preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The Preventive Maintenance Technician maintains accurate maintenance records and ensures all work is performed safely and in accordance with company standards.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems, including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of wear components.
Identify equipment issues and verify proper operation following maintenance activities.
Accurately document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs in required systems and records.
Maintain tools, work areas, and maintenance supply inventory in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
Assist in other duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic math and communication skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and attention to detail.
Ability to safely use maintenance tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical and maintenance documentation.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of related work experience required.
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations preferred.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems required.
Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Charles Industries weight rule: 35 lbs. and under can be lifted alone. 35 - 50 lbs. can be lifted by one person if they feel comfortable doing so. 50 lbs. or more requires the employee to get assistance or use a lifting device (i.e., pallet jack, forklift, scissor table, buddy system).
Employees may be required to push and pull carts, maintenance equipment, and replacement parts.
Vision abilities required are close, peripheral, and depth perception. Must have the ability to recognize color.
Employees must possess manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools, equipment, and testing devices.
Work Environment:
The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential job functions.
The employee regularly works near moving, vibrating mechanical equipment, occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and exposed to minimal risk of electrical shock.
Noise level is usually loud, hearing protection and testing may be required.
Safety footwear and safety glasses are required.
Additional PPE may be required based on work assignment, such as gloves.
May require employee to occasionally work around chemicals.
